SAN SEBASTIAN, SAMAR – The Samar State University Extension Services headed by Executive Director Jesus T. Racuyal conducted the Blue Swimming Crab (BSC) Orientation in Brgy. Hitaasan I and II, a far-flung barangay in the Municipality of San Sebastian, Samar on July 6 (21).
More than 20 fisherfolks in Brgy. Hitaasan attended the seminar and were oriented on the “Katalwasan han Karawasan”, a project that aims to increase domestic production of BSC and build a sustainable food system linking production and consumption.
Also present during the event was the Acting Mayor of San Sebastian, Hon. Eleuterio Mabao, together with his staff, who expressed his gratitude to the University for visiting their vicinity and accommodating their residents.
In his post, he said, “Damo nga salamat to the SSU president Dr. Marilyn Cardoso, the Executive Director for Extension, Jesus Racuyal, and party [Thank you so much to the SSU President Dr. Marilyn Cardoso, the Executive Director for Extension, Jesus Racuyal, and party].”
Accompanying Dir. Racuyal were University extensionists, Dr. Abigail Cabaguing, Mrs. Julie Ann Quilatan, and Mr. Raul Celmar.
