CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University (SSU) through the Publications Office headed by Dr. Redentor S. Palencia and CDRJ/JAR Managing Editor Dr. Marife M. Lacaba spearheaded the Trainers’ Training on Packaging Research Articles for Publications to Scientific Journals on April 21-23 (21) at the SSU Convention Center.
More than 30 editorial staff of the Journal of Samar Studies (JSS) and the Philippine Journal of Technology and Innovation (PJTI), the two new SSU journals, attended the training.
Dr. Redentor S. Palencia, Dr. Ronald L. Orale, Dr. Rheajane A. Rosales, Dr. Vivian L. Moya, Dr. Marife M. Lacaba, Dr. Abigail M. Cabaguing, and Engr. Raven C. Tabiongan served as speakers of the training.
Topics on 1) Establishing Storyline of a Research Paper, 2) Essentials of Introduction, 3) Referencing In-Text Citations, 4) Contents of Methods for JSS and PJTI, 5) Contents of Results and Discussion, and Conclusion and Recommendations, and 6) Writing Abstract for JSS and PJTI were tackled during the three-day event.
The completed outputs of Mrs. Joan J. Baclay, Dr. Laura B. Boller and Ms. Mra. Lyme F. Correche titled “Competency in Teaching Samar Folk Dances among MAPEH Teachers in Catbalogan City Division” (for JSS) and Engr. Jon Alvin Macariola titled “SMART EduBox” (for PJTI) received special awards.
The participants of the event are expected to package their papers for the first issue of the journals.
