Prof. Jhonil S. Bajado, SSU faculty and Head of Museum and Archives, was invited as speaker for Pinay Power 500 x 75.
“I will be delivering a lecture entitled Baybaylan and Mamaratbat: Signifying Women’s Role in History during Plagues and Outbreaks on March 17,” he happily announced through his social media post on March 13 (21).
Pinay Power 500 x 75 is a four-part online webinar series celebrating and highlighting the role, contribution, and continued resilience of Filipino women from Eastern Visayas- their Pinay Power. This activity is in support to this month’s celebration―the Women’s Month― under the theme, “Juana Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya!”
Prof. Bajado, the first speaker of the webinar series delivered his lecture, yesterday, March 17 (21).
The three succeeding sessions will run on March 19, 24, and 27 (21) respectively via online platform from 6pm to 8pm.
Interested participants are welcome to register online to receive the zoom links for the sessions. Further, a certificate of completion will be given to those who will be able to complete the four series.
