SSU Faculty hailed Best Thesis Awardee during LNU’s 100th Anniversary

CATBALOGAN CITY – Mr. Jhonil C. Bajado, Samar State University (SSU) faculty, received the Best Thesis Award of the Year during the virtual 15th Dayaw Awards of Leyte Normal University (LNU) in celebration of their 100th Founding Anniversary.

His paper titled “Panmatbat Tradition in Eastern Samar: History and Socio-Culture Aesthetics” is Bajado’s winning study which he presented in LNU Graduate School for his program Master of Arts in Teaching Major in Social Sciences.

The nominees were narrowed down to two and SSU’s faculty, Mr. Bajado, got the award.

The Dayaw Awards is LNU’s way of recognizing top performing employees and students in different categories.

Bajado, on his post, stated that he felt honored to be announced as the winner.

“I only asked to graduate, but God gave me a blessing I feel so undeserved,” he stated in an interview.

Mr.  Bajado  was congratulated for getting excellent scores/very high ratings for a Graduate Thesis.

“Senyor” as he is famously called is now an inspiration to SSU community, especially along research.

During the 14th Dayaw Awards last year, Dr. Abigail Cabaguing, Director, Alumni Relations Services and Institutional Programs Services, was named as the LNU Graduate School Model Awardee.
