CATBALOGAN CITY- Samar State University (SSU) scheduled a virtual consultation with Cagayan State University (CSU) on Tuesday, March 9 (21).
SSU with its proposed Samar Island Institute of Medicine (SIIM) initiated this benchmarking activity with CSU, being one of the established and high performing SUCs in the field of Medicine.
As a University with a global stature, educating for the best, CSU shared their best practices in their College of Medicine. “We will be sharing with you curriculum documents that you can benchmark on,” said generously Dr. Urduja A. Tejada, CSU President.
SSU President, Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, gratefully responded, “Thank you so much, Dr. Tejada and the whole CSU community for your indulgence.”
SSU hopes that the meeting will not be the end but just a beginning of the two universities’ strong relationship and partnership. And like that of an older sister, SSU wishes CSU to continue holding its hand as it takes baby steps in the journey of establishing the SIIM.
The consultation was attended by personnel, key officials, and Presidents of both universities.
Both SSU and CSU share a common goal, to create impactful effects to local communities, to the whole country, and even to the world by educating, innovating, building, and serving for the best.
