SSU-CIT bakes 110 packs of Moringa Cookies for frontliners

CATBALOGAN CITY – A total of 110 packs of Moringa cookies will be distributed to the frontliners around the city this afternoon, April 24, courtesy of Samar State University (SSU) through the College of Industrial Technology (CIT).

The moringa cookies is a product of CIT with its recipe made by Mrs. Charito Cabrera, a CIT faculty, who envisioned a nutritious snack with ingredients readily available in the local market. It is made out of flour, sugar, butter, eggs, leavening, and special malunggay powder.

Together with Mrs. Cabrera were Mrs. Janet Caber, Mrs. Terry Macha, Mr. Melboy Merciales, and some Food Technology students who worked together to meet the target number of baked cookies.

The team wanted to express their support to the frontline service providers through this effort.
