SSU turns over sanitizer, alcohol, face shields to Mayor Uy, Gov. Tan

CATBALOGAN CITY – Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, University President, believes that the only way to fight the pandemic virus is through helping and serving each other. Thus, Samar State University (SSU) continues to extend its services to the city and provincial government to fight the COVID-19 scare.

Dr. Cardoso turned over two containers of hand sanitizer (5 gallons per container), two gallons of alcohol, and 50 pieces of face shield to the City Mayor of Catbalogan, Hon. Dexter Uy yesterday, March 30, at the SSU Convention Center.

The University President, together with SSU’s three Vice-Presidents and faculty researchers, personally went to the Governor’s Office to meet with Governor Michael Tan and the Samar Provincial Hospital (SPH) Chief of Hospital, Dr. Jonathan Paquit.

SSU handed over two containers of sanitizers, four gallons of alcohol, and 100 pieces of face shields to Governor Michael Tan for the Samar Province frontliners.

SSU will find more ways on how to aid the community amid COVID-19 war.
