CATBALOGAN: The First Aid and Disaster Risk Management Training (FA-DRMT) concluded last August 29 (18) at Brgy. Ibol and significantly contributed to the knowledge and skills of the community.
To be aware of the importance of the first aid knowledge, to be equipped with the basic first aid skills needed in times of disasters and to capacitate the community in dealing with disaster aftermath addressed the participants’ needs relative to risks management.
Before the activity formally started, the 34 participants – brgy. officials and purok leaders – were grouped according to purok and were asked to list down and present all disasters they experienced and how they handled the hazards. The participants enthusiastically partook in the said activity and everyone shared their experiences.
Through the hand-in-hand effort and determination of the CAS-BS Psychology extension workers and with Mr. Juniel Tagarino’s knowledge and expertise on first-aid measures and disaster risks management, the objectives of the extension activity were attained.
