TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines—The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) granted a total of six new Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC) to Samar State University (SSU) for its Bachelor of Industrial Technology programs at both the main and Paranas campuses. The certificates were given during a meeting between CHED Regional Office VIII and presidents of state universities and colleges (SUC) and local universities and colleges (LUC) in Eastern Visayas yesterday, January 7, held at the CHED Regional Office VIII, Tacloban City.
SSU Main Campus obtained four COPCs for Bachelor of Industrial Technology majors in (1) Apparel and Fashion Technology, (2) Mechanical Technology, (3) Heating, Ventilating, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology, and (4) Beauty Care and Wellness Technology. Additionally, SSU Paranas Campus attained two COPCs for Bachelor of Industrial Technology majors in (1) Culinary Technology and (2) Electrical Technology.
All COPCs granted are effective for the academic year 2024-2025. CHED’s COPC attests that certain degree programs offered by state and local universities and colleges meet all the policies, standards, and guidelines set by the commission.
