Zhengzhou, China─In a mutual understanding to foster academic collaboration, Samar State University inks Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sias University in Zhengzhou, China on September 17 (23).
The MOU is based on the reciprocity principle and the shared interest of both parties to exchange scholars, students, academic information, and joint-supervision, and to establish training programs for improved research and educational processes benefitting their respective scholars and students.
Attended by Key Officials including SSU President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso and International Affairs and Services Director Dr. Elmer A. Irene, and SiasU Founder and Board Chairman Dr. Shawn Chen and International Affairs Director Mr. Julian Yue, the MOU signing was witnessed by the whole SSU delegation and SIAS faculty members and around 8,500 freshmen during their annual candlelight ceremony-─a welcome event for new students.
With this agreement valid for 5 years, SSU’s relationship with international universities was made stronger and its linkages wider as it strategically builds upon the goal of becoming a smart and world-class university.
