CATBALOGAN CITY─ In partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through R&D Project entitled “Building Capacity for Researchers Promoting Innovation in Marine Food Technopreneurship in Region VIII” or Program BRITER Eastern Visayas, Samar State University Intellectual Property and Technology Business Development Office and Technology Business Incubator-Local Alliance of Marine-based Businesses and Food Technology (SSU IPTBDO and TBI-LAMBAT) capacitated Eastern Visayas HEI Research & Technology Personnel through a conduct of an activity titled “Negotiate to Innovate: Seminar Workshop on Technology Commercialization, Licensing & Negotiation for Eastern Visayas” on August 7-9 (23) at the New CAS Bldg. AVC.
The 3-day training covered topics on IP Commercialization Fundamentals and Licensing Agreement Preparation and Negotiation Workshop and underscored the importance of innovation and technopreneurship as it proves crucial in promoting sustainable industrial, economic, and social development.
Attended by 45 Region VIII State Universities and Colleges’ Research, IP and Technology Transfer Officers and Personnel from Eastern Samar State University, Leyte Normal University, Northwest Samar State University, Southern Leyte State University, University of Eastern Philippines, and this University, SSU-IPTBDO and TBI-LAMBAT, with its strong enabler─CHED, hope that the goals and aspirations of various regional offices in relation to the improvement of economic status and reduction of poverty incidence will be achieved through this event as innovative solutions are brought to the table.
