SSU meets stakeholders

Attended by parents, students, faculty members, alumni, religious organizations, bankers, and city and provincial constituents, the Stakeholders and Civil Society Organization Consultative Meeting held at the Audio-Visual Center on February 16, 2017 was a success.

SSU was able to present to the public its Strategic Plan and budget for Fiscal Year 2018. The projects on infra structures were presented and was consulted to them relative to its prioritization namely construction of the Gym, Library, completion of Science & Technolgy, Research & Development Laboratory Bldg. among others.

Asked for the significance of the meeting to the stakeholders, Science Research Specialist, Mrs. Rubi Paroccho responded, “An ira makukuha (What they will get), gin tagan hira boses ngan panahon para magpahimtang han ira suhestyon para han mga proyekto (infra structure) nga ipapatuman han eskwelahan. Informed liwat hira parte han thrust and program nga pagbubuhaton han eskwelahan sa sakob 2017-2021. aware hira kun ano an nahihinabo ha SSU ((what is happening to SSU?), tikain hi SSU (where is SSU headed?), nag iinano an SSU (what is SSU doing?) as part of the community.” The assembly is also an avenue for stakeholders to make suggestions, share sentiments, and pledge support to SSU, she added.

The consultative meeting is SSU’s compliance to the mandate of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to involve the community in government resources talks.

DBM is a government body taking responsibility in ensuring appropriate and effectual allocation and consumption of government funds. SSU being a government office holds accountability to inform and update the public regarding its plan involving people’s money.

SSU’s commitment to provide and uphold service excellence for continual improvement and customer satisfaction is put into detail through this consultative meeting.
