CATBALOGAN CITY─ Following Samar State University’s Topmost rank in last year’s the World Universities with Real Impact ranking, now the World University Ranking for Innovation (WURI) under the Fourth Industrial Revolution category is the same top spot for the University this year 2023 as announced by its organizing committee, the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU), during its 3rd Annual HLU Conference held at Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida, USA on May 15-17 (23).
Serving as measures for this ranking were the innovative and creative university programs that make a significant contribution to improving research and education. WURI Ranking analyzes universities’ focus on six major issues: (1) Industrial Applications, (2) Value-Creating, (3) Social Responsibility, Ethics, and Integrity, (4) Student Mobility and Openness, (5) Crisis Management, and (6) Progress during the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
While SSU also coveted the Top 43 and Top 50 under the Industrial Application and Crisis Management categories last year, it made a clean victory this year as it finished 10 notches higher under Industrial Application and a new landing at Top 43 under the Social Responsibility, Ethics, and Integrity categories, respectively. The University was also named among the Global Top 101-200 Innovative Universities.
Evaluated for Innovativeness, Implementability, and Impact, SSU shall continually develop effective, beneficial, and impactful programs that contribute to social transformation to a great scale.
