CATBALOGAN CITY─ Bagging Gold and Silver awards among inventions from Asia and Europe under the Environment and Agriculture categories during the ITEX 2023 held on May 11-12 (23) at Kuala Lumpur, Convention Center, Malaysia were Samar State University’s projects “Crab Locator and Waypoint (CLAW)” and “Garbage Recognition and Identification Management System (GRIMS)”.
ITEX 2023 is the 34th International Invention & Innovation Exhibition. It is an annual event that features the top inventions from 23 invention categories focused on innovation and technology that seek to improve daily living among citizens of nations.
Participated by more than 20 countries with over 1,000 inventions by local and international inventors, research scientists, institutions, and corporations, Team CLAW which includes Seth Paul Babayson, Francis Jerric Candido, Mark Cris, Richard Fabriag, Nikko Ardel Floretes, Adrian Gadin, and Walvies McAlcos and Team GRIMS composed of Seth Paul Babayson, Francis Jerric Candido, Mark Cris, Nikko Ardel Floretes, Adrian Gadin, and Walvies Mc Alcos emerged as winners under the two categories mentioned.
With the projects standing out among prototype inventions and getting potential investors for commercialization, the University simply takes pride as it continues to support the science and technology industry.
