CATBALOGAN CITY─ In the 2023 list of 100 best universities in the Philippines released by Edurank.org, Samar State University (SSU) ranked 48th among Philippine universities from its 56th ranking last year. The University also made a sweep this year with its 251 notches higher in rank among world universities while maintaining its position among universities in Eastern Visayas.
EduRank.org is an independent website that ranks 14,131 universities from 183 different countries using metrics. To rank colleges across 246 research fields, they employ a proprietary database with an index of 44,909,300 scientific articles and 1,237,541,960 citations. They also include alumni popularity and non-academic prominence indicators in the overall rankings.
With these rankings and SSU’s 3047th ranking in Asia, its dream of becoming one of the top 200 universities in the continent is getting closer as the University continues to fix its eyes on its roadmap by strengthening its Research Performance, Non-academic Prominence, and Alumni Score.
