Dr. Boller with her fur baby—Chuckie
Overwhelmed with work, Dr. Laura B. Boller, Dean of the College of Education, finds time for play with her baby─a Shih Tzu named Chuckie.
Being a parent to three girls, Dr. Boller knows better the responsibility of being a mom. She juggles her time to be able to “Marites” [chit-chat], as she coins it, with over a year old Chuckie. She speaks with and listens to her frequently. For her, there’s a special bond between them that only they can understand.
“She gives me unexplainable joy. It’s just rewarding and entertaining to have a fur baby,” Dr. Boller beamed as she shares her story of being a fur mama.
