CATBALOGAN CITY─ Spearheaded by the Planning Management Office and the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance, Samar State University (SSU) wraps up the year with a Management Review of the University Strategic Plan 2022-2027 on December 27 (22) at the Convention Center.
The annual meeting is conducted to evaluate the efficacy of the University’s management system. It ensures that the systems stay focused on the goal of the institution and for continuous progress and improvement.
Presenters from the various colleges and units including Dr. Dolores Arteche (College of Nursing and Health Sciences), Mr. Nicolas Boco (Graduate School), Mr. Jake Boy Carbongquillo (College of Education), Ms. Andrea Del Rosario (Student Welfare and Development Services), Engr. Rafael Escareal (Infrastructure Development System), Dr. Rodrigo Estrada (Planning Management Office), Dr. Vivian Moya (TBI-LAMBAT, Engr. Raven Tabiongan (Samar Island GIS and Data Analytics), and Mr. Ronnie Velasco (College of Industrial Technology) reported their unit’s hits, misses, and planned interventions for targets that were not achieved.
“Let us anchor our plans on our goals…as we move forward towards our big picture─to be one of the top 200 universities in Asia by 2040. A University that is SMART, HEALTHY, FUTURE PROOFED, and WORLD CLASS,” Dr. Cardoso stated in her Message.
With the University’s commitment to uphold service excellence through continual improvement, SSU shall carry on with this initiative regularly as it innovates, builds, and serves.
