CATBLOGAN CITY─ University President, Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, was one of the recipients of the Region Eight Administrators’ League (REAL) Inc. Administrators’ Honorific Award (AHA) during the REAL Summit 2022 on December 19 (22) at Summit Hotel, Tacloban City .
Dr. Cardoso also received the same award last year, 2021.
AHA is given annually to ten (10) administrators in Region 8 who have significantly impacted their communities and society as a whole via their leadership and service to the government.
And based on the criteria: Achievements/Awards (Excellence in practice, Significant positive impact in service, Exemplary leadership), Meritorious Service (Exemplary service through active and impactful participation in professional bodies, Significant contribution to the advancement of profession, Success in advancing understanding of a constituent’s role in society), and Community Involvement (Active and impactful participation in the community and Acknowledged by the community for having positive character), Dr. Cardoso was chosen.
This back-to-back Awardee is the first lady president of Samar State University (SSU). And she is known to be a transformational leader that has placed the University into greater heights as manifested by its numerous milestones. With this another award, Dr. Cardoso definitely embodies the University mantra “We Innovate. We Build. We Serve.”
