Highlighting the significant role of the stakeholders in agenda setting and the importance of partnership for the achievement of shared visions and goals, the Samar State University-Samar Island Center for Adult Education and Technology Learning (SSU-SICAETLE) convened various civil society organizations, national agencies, non-government organizations, and local government units on November 10 and 11, 2022 in SSU for a Multi-Sectoral Stakeholders Summit and Consultative Forum.
Partner agencies presented their programs, projects, and activities consistent with the center’s thrusts and priorities.
“Through this meaningful dialogue, gaps in terms of implementation of activities that particularly involve the beneficiaries were also identified and plans for more collaborative actions have been laid out,” stated SSU-SICAETLE Director Dr. Marife Lacaba.
In attendance were representatives from the Provincial Government of Samar through the Provincial Tourism Office, Youth Development Office (YDO), SIRAK Kabataan, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the City of Catbalogan through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO); Department of Education (DepEd)-Samar Division through the Alternative Learning System (ALS), Local Government Units and Civil Society Organizations of Matuguinao, San Jorge, Tarangnan, Jiabong, Motiong, Paranas, Hinabangan, Villareal, Sta. Rita, Basey, Marabut, Daram, Zumarraga, and Talalora, Samar, Plan International, Inc. and the homegrown startup company Peddlr.
