CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University (SSU) celebrated ‘excellence and service’ during its 18th Charter Day Celebration on November 25 (22).
Hosted by the College of Industrial Technology (CIT), the celebration kicked off with a mass and a parade around Catbalogan City.
Attended by all colleges, the event was graced by this year’s Guest Speaker, SSU Board of Regents (BOR) Alumni Representative Hon. Dindo V. Mengote.
During his speech, he expressed his gratitude to the institution as an alumnus.
“Today, let me be the first one today to say ‘Thank you, SSU’. Many lives have already been changed by this institution, including my life,” he testified.
Among the lined up activities for the 18th Charter Day were the Launching of the University Mascot, Tree Planting Activity, 6th State of the University Address of SSU President Dr. Mariyn D. Cardoso, and the SULO Awards for the 2022 outstanding University faculty and personnel.
