“As teachers, we have to develop our passion of service for our students and other stakeholders and everything else follows,” said Dr. Marilyn M. Cardoso the University President who graced during the training’s kick- off program today, October 21 (16) for the three-day training workshop on Survey and Qualitative Research.

Dr. Cardoso welcomed the participants with enthusiasm and encouragement to hit targets set by the University. With expected outputs on instruction research and extension services, she added that all these should be initiated with passion to be able to deliver excellent service to the university’s clienteles.

The training-workshop is designed to hone research skills and passion among faculty from different colleges and external campuses spearheaded by the university’s Research Center for Culture and Social Issues (RCCSI) under the Planning, Research and Extension Services Office for the faculty of Samar State University (SSU).

Dr. Las Johanssen Caluza the Director for Research of Leyte Normal University and Dr. Rotacio S. Gravoso of Visayas State University are invited to impart their knowledge and expertise. They are scheduled to present their lectures and workshops today.

RCCSI expects the participants to complete the three-day training-workshop  at the 2nd floor of the College of Graduate Studies Building, SSU Main Campus.
