CATBALOGAN – To increase the research endeavours of the faculty along GIS and data analytics, the Samar State University – Samar Island GIS and Data Analytics Center conducted its Research, Development and Extension In-House Review for 2023 Funding on October 6-7 (22).
Six (6) proposals were submitted and presented for evaluation and assessment led by Engr. Hebe C. Uy, Engr. Jonas Vista, Engr. Nikko Floretes, Engr. Dennis B. Durango, Engr. Raven S. Tabiongan and Dr. Felisa E. Gomba.
Composing the panel of evaluators were the SSU Extension Services Executive Director Engr. Mirador G. Labrador, University of the Philippines Visayas-Tacloban College Professor Dr. John Paul T. Yusiong, and Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 8 Senior Science Research Specialist Dr. Ramil T. Uy.
The SSU – Samar Island GIS and Data Analytics Center will continue to promote geographic thinking and the application of geospatial technology in interdisciplinary research, education, and public service through research production.
