CATBALOGAN CITY – On October 17, 2022, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Samar and the Samar State University – Samar Island Center for Good and Local Governance successfully convened the Samar Multi-Stakeholders Advisory Council for the Local Governance Resource Center (LGRC) Orientation and Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum Agreement at the SSU Convention Center for another year of productive convergence and collaborations.
Present in the occasion are Former Local Government Undersecretary Marivel C. Sacendocillo, DILG 8 Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe, CESO III, the Hon. Governor Sharee Ann Tan, the DILG Samar Provincial Director Judy L. Batulan, and the SSU University President, Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso. They all emphasized the importance of coming together as a community in the realization of Samar’s progress. Each member, while having distinct role in the society, can complement to ensure that the development agenda of the province is attained.
Also around during the momentous gathering were the other member stakeholders such as the national government agencies, civil society organizations, league leaders, and the like.
Samar State University, as an academic institution, continually commits to the attainment of the provincial development goals through its research and extension undertakings.
