CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University (SSU) and its student-researchers were shortlisted for this year’s Alfredo M. Yao Intellectual Property (AMY IP) Awards as three (3) of the entries from the University qualify as collegiate category finalists.
MeatiFy, Dia-Aid, and 3D Visualization and Simulation Platform for Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) Maps using GIS and Data Analytics invented by SSU-Engineering students were chosen among many entries submitted from all over the country.
Engr. Nikko Floretes, Engr. Francis Jeric Candido, Engr. Adrian Gadin, and Engr. Raven Tabiongan served as advisers of the different teams.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) – IP Committee Officers announced on October 11 (22) that Bicol University is this year’s AMY IP Awardee.
Since 2016, SSU entries are always shortlisted as finalists and a three-time holder of the grand win in 2016, 2019 and 2021.
