CALBIGA, SAMAR – Following the Computer Literacy Training-Workshop and the Writeshop on Technical Writing for Local Government Unit, the SSU Samar Island Center for Good and Local Governance boosted the leadership capacity of the barangay officials in Calbiga, Samar through its Leadership Training-Workshop on June 17-18, 2022 at Brgy. Tinago, Calbiga, Samar, still under the extension program titled “Enhancing Barangay-Based Institutions’ Capability for Improved Local Governance”.
The lectures and activities organized by the center focused on transformative leadership and building leadership resilience. These were delivered by esteemed faculty members from the College of Arts and Sciences and Graduate School.
Not only did the participants gain new knowledge and insights but also develop skills on how to become an effective leader amid challenges. Through this, they are expected to yield more productive results in the delivery of their functions in the barangay level.
The participants and organizers alike were grateful for this opportunity to have worked together in effecting barangay good governance.
