CATBALOGAN CITY – One (1) program from the College of Education (CoEd) and four (4) programs from the Graduate School were revisited by the Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities (AACCUP) for Level 4 Accreditation Status on May 2-4, (22).
The Bachelor of Secondary Education, Master of Arts in Education, Master of Arts in Teaching, Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management, and Doctor of Philosophy in Technology Management of Samar State University (SSU) were evaluated in the five major areas along Research and Development, Teaching-Learning Process, Community Services, International Linkages and Consortia, and Well-Developed Planning.
Programs with Level IV Phase 2 Accreditation Level means that they are at par with the international standards incurring a rating of no less than 4.5 in each of the area.
Serving as accreditors were team leaders Dr. Jaime M. Forbes, Dr. Divinagracia M. De Guzman, Dr. Antriman V. Orleans, Dr. Joey M. Villanueva, Dr. Manuel A. Sanchez, Jr., and members Dr. Jovita E. Villanueva, Dr. Sherrilyn B. Quintos, Prof. Trinidad D. Macasil, Dr. Renelda P. Nacianceno, and Dr. Rosalea Fenina A. Margallo led by the team’s overall coordinator Dr. Boyet L. Batang.
SSU accreditation task force prepared all supporting documents of the programs under evaluation for AACCUP‘s validation.
The accreditation visit is scheduled to conclude on May 4 (22) through an exit conference.
