CATBALOGAN CITY – Unstoppable leadership is ‘living and rising above the crisis’, Samar State University (SSU) President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso stated as she presided the Oath Taking ceremony of the Accredited Organizations of the University organized by the University Student Council (USC) on March 21 (22) at the SSU Convention Center.
In her privilege speech, Dr. Cardoso thanked the officers of the different organizations for being the representatives of the student populace.
“Thank you student leaders for serving as voices of the students so they may be heard. Thank you for bringing the beacon of light. This is the manifestation of your innate core for service. As you take oath, dream big for yourself, dream big for your future,” she stated.
She also encouraged the students to always aim for excellence for it is the right way towards unstoppable leadership.
“As students, make most of the opportunities that the University provides for you. In everything that you do, consider excellence. My dear students, be the best in all your endeavors as we innovate, we build, and we serve,” Dr. Cardoso emphasized.
49 officers from the different organizations took oath to officially signify their terms of office.
Also present during the event were Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Engr. Ma. Lourdes P. Amante, Director of the Student Welfare and Development Services Dr. Mae V. Cañal, In-Charge of the Multi-Faith Services Mr. Melboy Merciales, and the University Student Council Adviser Ms. Jessa Pacoma.
