CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University (SSU) through the Samar Island Center for Good and Local Governance (SICGLG) initiated the first-ever interview series in the province dubbed as TIUNOB: MARKING THE 2022 ELECTIONS, a pre-election interview of the local political aspirants in the 2nd District of Samar Province and the Local Government Unit of Catbalogan City.
This flagship program of the SSU-SICGLG is in partnership with the City and Samar Province Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Samar, the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), BBCS Data Systems, SSU-Publications Office, SSU-College of Education, and SSU-Graduate School.
TIUNOB primarily aims to help candidates publicize their platforms and aide the electorates in making informed decision on who to vote.
The filming of the interviews started on March 14 until March 23 (22) accommodating nineteen (19) candidates for the provincial and town’s posts who accepted the invitation.
Aspirants answered questions crafted by the TIUNOB Research Team and underwent expert validation along the three segments: Panindugan, Panginlabot, and Pangampanya.
Center Director Dr. Abigail Cabaguing and the team target to launch TIUNOB’s official posting by April.
