CATBALOGAN CITY, Philippines—Samar State University’s (SSU) Graduate School hosted an international learning session titled “Global Frontiers in Nursing Informatics: A Session with Experts from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)” under its Advanced Nursing Informatics course for the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Program.
Held yesterday, July 30, via Zoom Web Conferencing, the event featured global expertise on nursing informatics from PolyU’s School of Nursing, an internationally renowned institution for its leadership in nursing education and health innovation.
Alongside MSN students, the learning session was joined by Dr. Redentor S. Palencia, SSU President, and Dr. Dolores L. Arteche, Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and MSN Program Chairperson. Also present were the Dean of Cristal e-College of Nursing in Bohol and graduate students from St. Paul University, Dumaguete.
The highlight of the afternoon was the talk on “Global Advances in Nursing Informatics” delivered by guest lecturer Dr. Vivian Hui, Professor of Nursing Informatics, AI, and Technology at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her presentation showcased a global perspective on nursing informatics through the lens of PolyU.
The learning session is a noteworthy step in strengthening global academic partnerships and advancing informatics-driven nursing education in SSU.
