CATBALOGAN CITY, Philippines—Samar State University (SSU) has once again made its mark on the global stage as it secured multiple distinctions in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), including the Top 1 spot in Empowerment-Based Management. This solidifies SSU’s reputation as a leading institution in transformative education.
Out of 1,253 universities from 87 countries that submitted 4,866 innovative programs, SSU ranked Top 15 in Ethics and Integrity. This category emphasizes the importance of researching and promoting ethics and integrity in education. Moreover, SSU obtained the 28th spot in Technology Development and Application on how it responds to and apply AI technologies in its education, research, and service to society and industry.
On top of these, the university placed 98th in the Global Top 400 Innovative Universities, a significant stride forward from its 117th rank in 2024.
