TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines — Samar State University (SSU) was recognized by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for its commendable submission of Budget and Financial Accountability Reports (BFARs) for the 2nd Quarter of Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 on August 30, 2024 during the FY 2024 Mid-Year Agency Performance Review Consultation Cum Full Time Delivery Unit Meeting, held at Hyflex Audio Visual Center, Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) – Naval Campus, Naval, Biliran.
The recognition was given to the University for garnering a 100% timely submission rate for all twelve (12) required reports. This was received by University President Dr. Redentor S. Palencia, Vice President for Administration and Finance Engr. Ma Lourdes P. Amante, Budget Officer Ms. Geraldine G. Baldoza, and Planning Management Officer Dr. Rodrigo G. Estrada.
The FY 2024 Mid-Year APR Consultation Cum Full-Time Delivery Unit Meeting was conducted to report on the attending agencies’ fiscal performances and acknowledge the top performing agencies, identify and address issues and concerns, and determine necessary plans and solutions. During the meeting, DBM discussed the latest issuances and relevant policies, and presented the FY 2025 National Expenditure Program of SUCs.
Hosted by BiPSU, the review was also attended by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VIII (CHEDRO VIII), Technical Education and Development Authority (TESDA VIII), and 10 State Universities and Colleges (SUC) in Region VIII.
