Search for SSU’s Most Outstanding Alumni 2024

CATBALOGAN CITY, Philippines – Nominations are now open for individuals who have made a significant mark in their respective fields and demonstrated exceptional dedication to their alma mater. Have you been inspired by a fellow graduate who has made a noteworthy impact in their community or industry? Do you know someone deserving of this recognition? Nominate them now and help us showcase their successes and contributions.

Nominees Qualification

  1. Must be a graduate of secondary, baccalaureate, masters, or doctorate degree at the university (STS, SSAT, SSPC, and SSU).
  2. He or she must have no pending administrative or criminal charges against him or her.
  3. Those who have received an award during the last five years are ineligible to be nominated.

Nomination Procedure

  1. The candidate must be nominated by any of his or her classmates, friends, or university personnel.
  2. The nominator will be given a nomination form to fill out the needed information; the form can be downloaded here.
  3. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝 at the designated drop box or at the office of the Director of Alumni Relations and Placement Services, 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, or sent through the official email address of the office, arps@ssu.edu.ph
  4. These documents will be presented to the Director of Alumni Relations and Placement Services or the Co-chair of the Evaluation Committee for a short listing of candidates.

Evaluation Process

  1. All short-listed nominees will be evaluated by the evaluation committee using the point system in the criteria for the specific category. Short-listed nominees should meet the general requirement to qualify.
  2. The nominees will undergo an interview process by the evaluation committee to verify and validate the documents submitted. Documents from those who have already been awarded should not be used again.
  3. Those who earn the most points will be awarded as the SSU Most Outstanding Alumni in the specified category.
  4. In the event of a tie, the evaluation committee will vote and decide who will be awarded.

  1. One (1) officer of the SSU General Alumni Association
  2. Two (2) members of the host batch of alumni homecoming

Types of Awards

𝟏. 𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐮𝐬/𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞. This award is given to an individual who is actively involved in the public service, such as a teacher, military officer, police officer, or government employee, with exceptional performance in the field of public service.

𝟐. 𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐮𝐬/𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬. This award is given to an individual with exceptional recognition in the fields of sports, culture, and the arts. His or her contribution had been adopted in the local, regional, national, and international communities.

𝟑. 𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐮𝐬/𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. This award is given to an individual with exemplary performance in the field of science and technology. Published research in referred journals and developed technologies with impact in various areas of development.

𝟒. 𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐮𝐬/𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞. This award is given to an individual with exemplary performance in public health service. His or her contribution was recognized by the local, regional, national, or international communities.

𝟓. 𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐮𝐬/𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞. This award is given to an individual with exemplary achievement in good governance. Through his or her leadership, the organization, institution, agency, or industry has become an example to others. Through his or her creative systems of governance, it brought change to the institution, organization, agency, or industry.

𝟔. 𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐮𝐬/𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. This award is given to an individual with innovative ideas in business with recognition to the community. Through his or her business ideas, it generates employment for surrounding communities.

𝟕. 𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐮𝐬/𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬. This award is given to an individual who is working abroad and contributes to the development of Filipino communities.

𝟖. 𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐮𝐬/𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. This award is given to an individual who has contributed to educational innovation with an impact on local, regional, national, or international communities.
