SSU JAR wins Silver Award, contributes impact globally

CATBALOGAN CITY─ Having manifested relevance and quality and provided direct and indirect impacts to stakeholders globally, Samar State University’s Journal of Academic Research (SSU JAR) has been awarded 2nd Place in the 2023 Journal Impact Factor Award by the Visayas-Mindanao Consortium for Journal Publication, Inc. (VMCJPI) Year Opener Celebration yesterday, March 30 (23), at Cebu Normal University.

VMCJPI is a consortium that promotes the widespread publication of high-quality academic journals from academics and practitioners in higher education institutions and affiliated organizations in developing countries and strives to become the acknowledged premier academic organization on all issues relating to the publication of scientific journals globally.

The Journal Impact Factor is gauged based on peer review policy, diversity of editors and authors, citations, timeliness of journal, frequency, availability, adherence to ethical standards, and indexation.

Receiving the prestigious award were the University President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso and the Executive Director for Research Dr. Sherrie Ann C. Labid.

SSU through the JAR has been providing a platform where researches in academia both by educators and students are shared for the purpose of enhancing theoretical and empirical researches across all disciplines since 2016 and will persistently be relevant and impactful in the years ahead.
