The College of Education, through its dedicated extension workers, conducted another extension activity dubbed the Instructional Material Development Training-Workshop among Barangay Daycare Center of LGU San Jose de Buan last December 8 and 9, 2022 at the SSU-COED Building. This activity is part of the second phase of the iSSUy Human Empowerment and Development program. The iSSUy Human Empowerment and Development Program seeks to empower the daycare community through knowledge and skill-building.
The Workshop targets to strengthen the development of self-made instruction among the daycare center volunteers, the two-day training consist of talks on the topics like Instructional Plan; Introduction to Instructional Materials; Teaching with New Media; Importance of Play, Arts, and Crafts Activities, Puzzles and Games, and Sourcing Materials for Teaching in the Early Years Classroom. The esteemed resource speakers for the topics were Prof. Jake Boy D. Carbonquillo, Prof. Lynitte D. Quenga, Prof. Mark Anthony P. Alavata, Prof. Phoebe Faith C. Anino, Prof. Frene T. Cañas respectively.
The rest of the COED faculty members were also in attendance to help facilitate and show their support for iSSUy’s mission of building quality education starting with the young learners.
This project is a collaboration between SSU and the LGU of San Jose de Buan through its Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.
