As part of this year’s Celebration of Christmas, Samar State University – Psychology Society and the students did not only hold a Christmas Party but also conducted a gift-giving drive entitled “Gift Giving 2022: Shoe Box for a Cause,” for children who passed by outside Samar State University last December 17, 2022.
According to Dr. Mae V. CaΓ±al, Director of Student Welfare and Development Services, and Program Chair of the BS Psychology, making the gift-giving activity as the highlight of the event as it shows how students value on sharing their blessings to others who are in need, “May we continue to share what we have in our own little ways because it could bring a Merry Christmas to others,” Dr. CaΓ±al said. Also, present on the event were the psychology faculty, SWDS staff, and psychology students who cheerfully lent their gifts to children.
SSU-Psychology Society would like to extend its appreciation towards the genuine compassionate hearts of the students, facilitators and faculty staff who had donated and spent their efforts in making this activity possible.
