CATBALOGAN CITY- Last October 7 (22), the Office of Student Affairs and Services through the SSU Alumni Relations and Placement Services Offices (SSU-ARPS) and in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Recruitment and Selection Unit 8 conducted an Academic Consortium.
Attended by sixty (69) alumni and graduating students of Samar State University, the event was held via face to face at the AVR-CAS New Building.
The consortium aimed to establish an effective recruitment process through faceless/nameless screening and selection of New Police Non-Commissioned Officers through Regular and Attrition Recruitment Program and Police Commissioned Officers via Lateral Entry, respectively.
Topics along PNP recruitment process and qualifications were tackled by PCol. Erwin I. Portillo, Chief PNP Regional Recruitment and Selection Unit 8 who served as the Speaker.
Joining PCol. Portillo were PEMS Corazon Balmes, PCpl Gretchen Cañete, and Pat Golda Mae Cañete who are also from PNP.
