CATBALOGAN CITY─ Samar State University (SSU) participating teams which were mentored by the University’s TBI-LAMBAT won awards at the Philippine Startup Challenge 7 (PSC7) Awarding Ceremony staged by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region 8 on October 27 (22).
Among the hailed winners were Team REOCEAN for Best Logo, Team ACAD-FOCUS as 2nd Runner-up, Mr. Chad Vincent Florentino from Team PROJECT IFY as Best Speaker, and of course the same team, PROJECT IFY, as Grand Winner.
PSC7 is a startup competition that seeks to inspire and assist young Filipinos in developing cutting-edge and pertinent ICT products and services that could eventually turn into profitable business ventures and provide solutions to societal issues.
Team PROJECT IFY is scheduled to compete at the National Level Pitching Competition in the coming days.
And as the program aims to encourage Filipinos to be entrepreneurial in the ICT sector and to continuously produce investible ideas and startup founders who will strengthen the Philippine startup ecosystem, SSU shall work hand in hand with the DICT as they share the same goal.
