CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University (SSU) Museum & Archives in partnership with the Social Studies Circle and the Eastern Visayas Association of Museums (EVAM) unveiled the ‘Escrito et Arte Exhibit’ at the SSU Convention Center on October 24 (22) in celebration of the Museums and Galleries Month.
The artworks of award winning-artists Mr. Ernie Mayo and Mr. Joel Alba Pragas along with the ‘escritos’ or old reading materials collected and preserved by the EVAM Vice President Prof. Jhonil Bajado are put on view in the venue.
The exhibit bearing the celebration’s theme “Embracing Uncertainty: Showcasing Solidarity, Hope, and Recovery” was formally opened through a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Mr. Mayo and was graced with performances by the SSU Ukulele Ensemble.
Faculty, students, and guests may visit the exhibit until October 28 (22).
