CATBALOGAN CITY – Marian Marcos State University (MMSU) tapped Samar State University – Technology Business Incubator-Local Alliance of Marine-based Businesses and Food Technology (SSU TBI-LAMBAT) for a benchmarking meeting last October 4 on the conduct of a University Bootcamp in Region 1.
MMSU TBI Project Manager Mr. Lei Frances Ribac and their staff sought assistance from the University on how to organize a bootcamp including the potential topics to be taught, sample program, budgetary requirements, industry partners and stakeholders, and best practices in the establishment of DOST-PCIEERD’s SSU TBI-LAMBAT.
Per request, SSU TBI-LAMBAT Project Manager, Ms. Teresa Enalisan, served as the main resource speaker during the benchmarking activity done via Zoom.
Meanwhile, Dr. Vivian L. Moya, Director of the Intellectual Property Technology Business Development Office (IPTBDO), also willingly shared the process on how to successfully encourage innovation among the students through bootcamp.
MMSU is planning to conduct its first-ever University bootcamp on November 2022 in celebration of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region I S&T Week.
