CHED RO8 Reg’l Director Aljibe heads on-site validation, monitoring visit

 

CATBALOGAN CITY – Samar State University (SSU) welcomed the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office 8 Director Dr. Maximo C Aljibe and party during their On-Site Validation and Monitoring Visit to the University on September 28-30 (22).

SSU Campuses—Main, Mercedes, Paranas, and Basey were all inspected by the team for Validation of COPC Application of SSU Systems and Monitoring of Limited Face-to-Face Classes, Student Affairs and Services, and Program Offerings.

Awarding of the Certificates of Program Compliance (CoPC) to the Bachelor of Science in Psychology (BSPsych) and Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) of SSU-Main Campus and the Bachelor in Technical-Vocation Teacher Education (BTVTED) of SSU-College of Fisheries and Marine Sciences was among the highlights of the visit.

Receiving the awards were University President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Felisa E. Gomba, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Engr. Ma. Lourdes P. Amante, Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Gina U. Españo, College of Education (CoED) Dean Dr. Laura B. Boller, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Dean Dr. Florabelle B. Patosa, COFMAS Director Dr. Ricardo T. Severo, and the Chairpersons of the said COPC-compliant programs.

Meanwhile, Dr. Aljibe and party will continue their visit to the external campuses in the next two (2) days.
