CATBALOGAN CITY─ Marked as one of the ‘exemplary Philippine colleges and universities that championed internationalization in Philippine Higher Education’, Samar State University (SSU) received yet another accolade as it brings home the ASEAN Internationalization Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability (ASEAN ICONS) Award on August 26 (22) from the Awards Night in Metro Manila.
Organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the event is part of the commission’s 55th ASEAN celebration as it highlights HEIs that promoted the international recognition of Philippine Higher Education by putting forth admirable efforts and breaking new ground to further internationalization and advance the nation’s societal and economic objectives.
Having been ranked 1st among universities in the world along Industrial Revolution, 43rd under Industrial Application, and 50th under Crisis Management by the 2022 World Universities with Real Impact (WURI), SSU has proved to be committed to advance the Philippine Higher Education through its participation in international league tables.
