CATBALOGAN CITY – As one of the deliverables of the CHED-DARETO Project 1 titled: Geo-Referenced Agricultural Mapping and Management System led by Engr. Mirador G. Labrador, its team represented by the Samar State University – Samar Island GIS and Data Analytics Center (SSU-SIGISDAC) staff and personnel spearheaded the delivery of computer units for the project’s target beneficiaries namely, the Muncipalities of Jiabong, Paranas, Calbiga, Basey, Matuguinao, San Sebastian, and Calbayog City on March 29 (22).
Each municipalities signed a Deed of Donation and Certificate of Acceptance to formalize the said transaction.
This initiative is aimed at maintaining the existing partnership with the municipalities mentioned and later on for collaboration on future research and extension initiatives that revolve around agriculture, use of GIS, data analytics, and others.
