CHED-IDIG Webinar continues, taps podcast for teaching

CATBALOGAN CITY – The last session of the Webinar Series on Video Recording and Podcast Production, a deliverable under the Enhancement of Samar State University Learning Management System project funded by the Commission on Higher Education-Institutional Development and Innovation Grants (CHED-IDIG) focused on Podcast, an episodic series of digital audio files that a user can download to a personal device for easy listening and for teaching-learning purposes.

On January 20 (22), 86 participants learned that podcast can be used for audio lectures, assessment tools, discussions and documentaries that would aid the students’ learning.

Unlike video materials, podcast provides flexibility, less pressure, inclusivity, and easier way to deliver updated contents.

University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Multimedia Center Director Luisa Gelisan and UPOU Graphic Artist Ann Kristine Medina tackled the Podcast Scriptwriting and Audio Recording and Podcast Editing Software (Audacity), respectively.

The webinar concluded with the presentation of the participants’ outputs and the awarding of certificates to the speakers/evaluators.
