CATBALOGAN CITY – In the pursuit of making the Catbalogan startup community grow, Catbalogan startup enablers joined the QBOxDICT: Catbalogan Startup Ecosystem Mapping on January 11 (22) virtually.
As one of the seven (7) cities in the 2021 QBOxCities: Developing Startup Cities 2021 lineup, Catbalogan City through the help of Samar State University Technology Business Incubator-Local Alliance of Marine-based Businesses and Food Technology (SSU TBI-LAMBAT) identified and mapped the existing support available to startups in Catbalogan.
During the event, the participants shared the ‘pain points’ experienced by the startup founders in Catbalogan City. The QBO Innovation Hub together with the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s Industry Development Bureau (DICT-IDB) representatives, on the other hand offered solutions on how they could help solve the challenges identified.
The Ecosystem Mapping will pave way to the next meetups that will take place in the following months to reach the goal of making Catbalogan City a strong startup city in the future.
