CATBALOGAN CITY─ Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, Samar State University (SSU) President, was chosen as one of the 10 recipients of the Region Eight Administrators League (REAL) Inc. Administrators Honorific Awards (AHA) 2021.
AHA is an annual recognition to Administrators in Region 8 who made significant contributions as government servants and leaders which brought impacts to the community and society as a whole.
“AHA awardees exude Patriotism, Integrity, Excellence, and Spirituality,” stated Mr. Reynaldo B. Garnace, member of the REAL Board of Directors and Search Committee and Chair of Learning and Development.
Dr. Cardoso was selected based on the criteria: Achievements/Awards (Excellence in practice, Significant positive impact in the service, Exemplary leadership), Meritorious Service (Exemplary service through active and impactful participation in professional bodies, Significant contribution to the advancement of profession, Success in advancing understanding of the role of a constituent in the society), Community Involvement (Active and impactful participation in the community through volunteerism), and Character/Impact to the Community (Acknowledged by the community for having positive character).
The 1st lady President of SSU who lives by the University mantra “We Innovate. We Build. We Serve.” and exemplifies the core values of Leadership, Excellence, Discipline, and Service attended the Conferment of Plaque of Recognition earlier today, December 28 (21), at Tacloban City, Philippines.
