After the PADYAK fun ride, CHED Chairperson J. Prospero E. De Vera III, UNIFAST Executive Director Atty. Ryan Estevez, CHED officials, SUC Presidents, LUC Presidents, PHEIs Presidents, LGU officials, EVSU officials, bikers and guests arrived in the finish line at Eastern Visayas State University-Ormoc Campus.
A short closing program was held wherein EVSU Ormoc Campus Director Gerry B. De Cadiz initiated a toast for PADYAK and Free Higher Education then two (2) TES grantees shared their testimonies on how the TES grant changed their lives.
In the message of Chair Popoy, he stated that it was a privilege to be appointed as CHED Chair because free higher education came during his watch.
“I could say, ako ang nagsimula ng free higher education. In the same way, let us congratulate our SUC Presidents. They, like me, can claim that singular honor of having been responsible of implementing RA 10931 which nobody can claim but them. We can all say, we made a difference in the lives of our students,” said Chair Popoy.
