CATBALOGAN CITY – As part of the finalization of the University-wide Comprehensive Personnel (Faculty and Administrative Staff) Development Program (CPDP) for 2022-2027, Samar State University held a three-day event to craft and critique the plans of each unit and college on October 4-6 (21) at MGrand Royale Function Hall, Catbalogan City.

The event is one of the initiatives to strengthen the 2022-2027 roadmap of the University dubbed as “Future Proofing Samar State University” with the long term goal of becoming one of the Top 200 Higher Education Institutions in Asia by 2040.

Facilitated by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) led by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Felisa E. Gomba and the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) headed by Mrs. Evelyn Abaigar, each college/campus and unit set target for faculty profile with yearly target(s) along instruction, research, and extension and agreed to changes of measurements and evaluation criteria for personnel progress.

The CPDP of the University will provide leadership and support to faculty along the core functions, sustain academic and professional growth across career spans and field of specialties, and measure and evaluate faculty personnel progress based on competencies.

Discussions on SSU Future Proofing, Workforce Profile of Top Universities, Leadership 5.0, Interpersonal and Professional Development, Profile of SSU Workforce; and presentations of CPDP by college/campus and department/unit highlighted the event.
