CATBALOGAN CITY– Samar State University (SSU) coveted three (3) awards given by the Department of Budget and Management Regional Office (DBM RO 8) including Top Obligations BUR Performer (1st among SUCs in the region), Top Performer: Income Collection Rate (3rd among SUCs in the region), and Physical Accomplishment Award (for sustaining overall performance in the FY 2020 General Appropriations Act vis a vis 2019 GAA) during the DBM Full-Time Delivery Unit Meeting on September 1, 2021 held via Google Meet.
For FY 2020, the University was commended for obligating all of its current and continuing allotments through early procurement activities, attaining a Collection Rate at 139% which is significantly higher compared to its target, and achieving an accomplishment rate of 100% or higher on target indicators along all core programs (e.g. Higher Education Program, Advanced Education Program, Research Program, and Technical Advisory Extension Program).
“This recognition of outstanding financial, income, and physical performance given to SSU means that the University has an absorptive capacity to comply with the standards set by DBM. Let’s aim for this yearly,” said Ms. Maricar C. Cabael, SSU Budget Officer.
This extra milestone of the University is yet another byproduct of collaborative and dedicated toiling of the entire SSU Family, a strong indicator that in SSU: We innovate. We build. We serve.
