CATBALOGAN CITY– Samar State University (SSU) turns it up at Rank 59 among 288 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines in the July edition of web data collected by the Webometrics Ranking of World’s Universities.
For this July 2021 Edition, SSU ranked 12666 in more than 31,000 universities in 200 countries in the world monitored by Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), a research group in Spain and among the first basic research organizations in Europe who intends to motivate both institutions and scholars to have a web presence that reflects accurately their activities.
SSU garnered a Visibility Rank (Number of external networks linking to the institution’s webpages) at 16784, Openness Rank (Number of citations from Top 210 authors) at 5423, and Excellence Rank (Number of papers amongst the top 10% most cited in each one of all 27 disciplines of the full database from 2015-2019) at 6650.
And as SSU aspires to maintain or improve its ranking, it shall continue working on its presence both in the web and in its surrounding communities by living its mantra in innovating, building, and serving.
