SSU-GS reaches Calbiga NHS for Research Training

CATBALOGAN CITY – In view of the importance of action research in addressing the educational issues in public schools, Samar State University (SSU) through the Graduate School extended its help to Calbiga National High School (CNHS) School-Based Management (SBM) Laboratory personnel through a Training Workshop on Research Methods and Approaches.

From July 26-28 (21), twenty-six (26) participants attended the event focusing on the topics along Quantitative Research Methods and Approaches, Qualitative and Mixed-Method Research and Approaches, and Writing Action Research Proposal and Abstract.

Serving as speakers were Dr. Redentor S. Palencia, Dr. Emilio H. Cebu, Mr. Nicolas O. Boco Jr., Dr. Elmer A. Irene, Dr. Sherrie Ann C. Labid, Dr. Rezy V. Mendano, Dr. Nathalie Ann A. Acosta, and Mr. Necasio D. Abuda who, at the same time, served as critiques of the research proposals presented by the CNHS participants.

Dr. Alvin A. Aguirre, Secondary School Principal IV, wrapped up the three-day event by expressing his gratitude towards this University initiative.
